Frequently asked questions about Jazzy Bugs!
Q: When do you start/ stop?
A: At Jazzy Bugs we do not have a stop and start time. We dance year round and allow registration when spots are open.
Q:Do you do recitals?
A: Jazzy Bugs has never done a recital and does not have immediate plans to do so. In the future we may put on a low key performance. Right now, we dance for the love of dance, for the friendship and for the fun without any pressure of performance.
Q:Do moms sit in on classes?
A: We are very different than most studios in that we do allow moms to be a part of dance! Moms are welcome in 100% of our classes. You are welcome to sit in, take pictures and enjoy the moment. We do ask that moms/ siblings keep noise to a minimum and are present in the moment if they choose to sit in on class. Please limit electronics to pictures and video. We also have a waiting area if you and your child prefer.
Q: How does tuition work?
A: Our dancers are auto drafted on the 21st of every month to pay for the following month. If dropping, notice must be given by the 14th to stop auto draft.
Q: Can I have a refund if my child does not like class?
A: It takes most children 3-4 weeks to decide if they really like class or not. With adequate time, most children have that lightbulb moment and really love and enjoy class time. With that being said, we only refund in situations in which we are unable to provide the classes that we committed to. No other refunds are given once payment is made.
Q: How much do you cost?
A: We have 2 payment options. Option 1 is a $48 commitment fee and $56-60 per month. Option 2 is a $48 commitment fee and a discounted 3 month plan. You will save $10 if signing up for 3 months at a time. (register online and message us to be charged the difference on a 3 month plan). We do not do recitals and therefore do not have any hidden recital or costume fees.
Q: Can you hold my spot if we take a vacation or need a month off?
A:Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee a spot if you choose to take a month off. Jazzy Bugs is ran entirely by a mommy who wanted to provide wholesome, laid back dance to her children and the community. With that being said, we do not have the ability to financially hold any spots without payment.
Q: Do you offer free trials?
A: Jazzy Bugs keeps a waiting list for their classes most of the year and are unable to offer trials without overfilling our classes. On rare occasions when enrollment is down we may be able to make exceptions. It never hurts to ask, but the majority of our students take a chance on us and love it!
Q: Do you do parties for every holiday?
A: We sing and celebrate every birthday and like to celebrate most major holidays in a big way! We are a Christian studio and we party for Valentines, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas! We throw others in when we can find an excuse also. A typical party is your dance class mixed with glow sticks, disco balls, balloons, prizes, games and fun! A day that we get to celebrate with your children is a great day for us!
Q:How conservative are you?
A: We are extremely conservative with music, dance moves and clothing. We only use music that is 100% kid safe and we do not teach any dance moves that you could not do in church on Sunday. We ask that you do not show your belly at our studio. One piece dance outfits, 2 piece outfits that cover your belly and athletic clothes are perfect.
Q:Do I have to buy a shirt, expensive uniforms?
A: Absolutely not! We offer shirts and they are a lot of fun if you want one but you never are required to have one. You can wear anything your body and your budget is comfortable in as long as it does not show off your belly. Dancers should have ballet/ jazz shoes depending on their class for their own safety. Our Busy Bees can wear any shoes they are comfy in or go completely barefoot.
